Enjoyed your comments. Actually the learning and cooking question yielded about 250 submissions from folks around the world.

One of the impactful metaphors included:

* who is the chef.. the designer or the learner?
* the role of personalization.. no one orders off the menu
* the reality and myth of allergies in both worlds
* the difference between taste and nutrition (as per you comments above)

while in israel last week, i posed this question to 500 organizations there and it was interesting to see them relate cooking and learning to "comfort food" and also a sense of adventure. one CLO from Israel talked about the percentage of fast to gourmet food and the analogy for nutritional supplements (or performance support).
