Too many organizations insist on using slide templates (slide decorations) in their training slides and presentations. This is a bad idea, and I've created the following narrated slide deck to make a research-based case against these bedeviling adornments:

Spot on Will. I hate them too. They lack imagination and, quite frankly, they look naff. I do a lot of work with organisations and most of the time I just use a plain slides format. The only time anybody has ever made a comment was when I was using an out of date branded template - 'the brand police will come to get me! Let's start a revolution!
